Ideal Vending Maintenance
We currently employ our own Vending Engineers to respond to service calls on our operated machines installed across Scotland.
We currently use Blackberry and BES technology combined with Vendman bespoke software to control the service and maintenance aspects of the business.
In addition our entire route operating vehicle and service van fleets are fitted with Minorplanets GPS tracking devices which enable us to constantly monitor the location of our vehicle fleet.
By combining these two systems we are able to route any service call received from a customer directly to the nearest responsible member of staff’s handset, ensuring response times to all service calls are kept to a minimum.
We are shortly to invest in new service vehicles which will be fully stocked with parts in order to achieve our target of fixing 90% of reported defects on the first visit. Once an engineer attends to a breakdown the progress of the call, including any parts used, is updated using his/her Blackberry handset so that our office has a constantly updated view of the status of all reported calls.
At Ideal Services we train our Vending Operators to attend to most reported faults as part of their duties. In this way common defects such as coin jams, coin mechanism swaps, motor jams and re-sets, blown fuses etc can normally be fixed by our operator thereby minimising the downtime on equipment.
In remote unsupervised areas where vandalism of equipment is a potential issue we would recommend bolting machines securely to the floor with industry standard fixings, this prevents the equipment from being damaged or stock from being dislodged, both of which can be responsible for generating customer complaints as well as taking the machine out of service.
In order to ensure that cleaning and sanitising routines are maintained in installed equipment by our operating staff we issue all staff with a full hygiene kit for every machine, which contains all parts that are in contact with water or ingredients, our operator simply replaces all components on each visit and removes the dirty components for thorough cleaning and sanitising off-site.
